Three players and three coaches from various premier league clubs are up for April’s NASCO Premier League Player and Coach of the Month awards.
The players include Bechem United’s, Hafiz Konkoni, Umar Basiru of WAFA and Dreams FC’s Leonard Owusu.
Shortlisted for Coach of the Month are head Coaches of Karela FC, Berekum Chelsea and Elmina Sharks, Johnson Smith, Yaw Acheampong and Svetislav Tanasijevic, respectively.
Konkoni, in the month under review, scored five goals and won one man-of-the-match award while Basiru scored one goal and won two man-of-the-match awards with Owusu winning three man-of-the-match awards.
As regard the exploits of the nominated coaches in April, Smith won three out of six matches, drew two and lost one while Yaw Acheampong had three wins in five games and drew two with Tanasijevic playing six matches, winning three, drew two and lost one.
Winners will be announced by the end of the second week of May.
Eventual winner of Coach of the Month will be presented with a 40-inch LED television, a trophy and an electronic men’s grooming set.
And, the player of the month will receive a 32-inch LED television, a trophy and a set of an electronic men’s grooming kit, all sponsored by NASCO.
