The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and the Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, have visited Tudu in Accra to assess the extent of damage caused by a fire that gutted a building in the bustling commercial district.
The inspection, conducted on Thursday, brought together top security and emergency officials to evaluate the impact of the blaze and review ongoing response and recovery efforts.
The visit forms part of coordinated government efforts to ensure public safety and strengthen emergency response measures in one of Accra’s busiest business centres.
During the tour, the officials inspected sections of the affected structure, observed the level of destruction, and engaged emergency responders on the ground.
Although the cause of the fire has not yet been officially established, authorities are expected to provide further details after a technical assessment of the building is completed.
