A woman believed to be in her 50’s has been found dead in her room at Zongo, near the Adom Baptist Church in Techiman.
A resident who spoke to Adom News said the deceased is a prostitute and believes she might have been killed by one of her customers.
But nine-year-old son of the deceased, narrating the incident to Adom News said he left the room to visit the washroom outside around 1 am Tuesday night.
He said when he returned, their door had been broken and his mother strangled to death by some faceless persons.
“About 1am Tuesday night, I told my mom I was going to the washroom urinate. When I came back some people had broken the door. I am sure they killed her but people staying in the house said they heard unusual noise from the room” he cried.
The residents according to him, were informed and the matter was later reported to the police.
Meanwhile, the body has since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
