Special Aide to former President John Mahama, Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari, is of the view that Ghanaians are in a remorseful state after voting out the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 elections.

According to her, her recent tour around Ghana revealed that Ghanaians are leaving in despair over what she described as hash economic conditions they are faced with.

“I have actually been going around the country. I sense there is certain nostalgia in the good people of Ghana. There were some expressions of regret in some regard,” she said.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Citi FM, monitored by Adomonline.com, Mrs Mogtari said the Akufo-Addo-led government had failed in delivering its promises.

“Ghanaians now realise that there was enormous propaganda. Ghanaians are of the view that when you look at matters such as hardship, it has not changed. If anything, it has only gotten worse.

“If you look at corruption, for instance, the government that campaigned largely on matters that had to do with corruption has itself not done too much three years into office,” she noted.
