Owner of former premier league side, Berekum Arsenal, Alhaji Yakubu Moro has said he will suggest to the FIFA Normalization Committee at their maiden stakeholders meeting today to speed up their work and restore football as soon as possible as there are a lot of expectations from them.

The four-member FIFA Normalization Committee instituted over a month ago will, today, engage Club owners and administrators at the Alisa Hotel.

I am hoping for a good interaction even though I will be represented by the vice president of the club, I think the Normalization Committee is being very slow and need to double up in their work”, he said.

Speaking on the Ultimate Sports Show, he was of the view that the dialogue should be centred on continuing all the leagues that were halted due to the expose` and not organise a novelty league as the committee has suggested.

It will be unfair for club owners if we play a novelty league and not continue from where we stopped. We the club owners have financed the first round on our own so letting it go down the drain will not be fair,” he suggested.

We are still paying salaries and signing on fees whiles there is no competition so starting all over again will be a loss and wasted investments”, he added.

Yakubu Moro also advised the Normalization Committee organises congress as soon as possible so the football fraternity gets to know interested presidential candidates and amend the statutes soon enough to get football back on track.
