Four Kindergarten pupils of the Breman Jamera Methodist School in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa district of the Central Region are feared dead after their school block collapsed on them during class.

A teacher in the school, Ms. Martha Boadiwaa told Adom FM’s Alfred Amoh that the structure had developed deep cracks but it was not given the needed attention resulting in the collapse.

Narrating the incident amidst tears, the teacher said the children were marching to the classroom for lessons when the weak structure caved in.

The distraught teacher added that, all attempts to get the authorities to repair the damage on the building fell on deaf ears resulting in the collapse.

Ms. Boadiwaa said she is currently in the hospital where many of those injured are receiving treatment.
