The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Gomoa East Constituency, Mr Kojo Asemanyi, has pledged wholeheartedly to distribute farming equipment specifically cutlasses to all farmers during the 2018 farming season.
He made the promise at the Farmers day celebration in Gomoa Buduatta in the Gomoa East District of the Central region
According to him, it will serve as a prerequisite to boosting the agriculture sector of Ghana.
Today, December 1, 2017, marks Ghana’s 33rd National Farmers’ Day celebration. The National Farmers’ Day is commemorated each year to honour Ghanaian farmers and fishermen.
The theme for this year’s celebration is, “Planting for Food and Jobs”.
