A tax expert, Mr Kwasi Asare says he is shocked at how the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) appears unperturbed by the number of companies evading taxes in the country.
Speaking on Adom FM’s anti-corruption segment, Fabewoso Wednesday, Captain Smart called out some companies that have failed to pay taxes owed the state, citing the Auditor General Report as his primary source.
Mr Asare commenting on Captain’s lamentations said he was surprised about how the GRA feels unruffled to chase those companies for the money.

Mr Asare, who seemed shocked at the gargantuan amount owed by the big companies urged the GRA to wake up from their slumber.
“Those monies should be paid to the state; if it’s about royalties they are mandatory payments and should be paid automatically. It is what it is so why can’t they collect it,” he queried.
