With cases reported in large numbers across the globe, the novel coronavirus, which has claimed over 114,257 lives till now has spared no one- neither celebrities nor common people.

Many, who have tested positive, are now sharing their stories online to raise awareness about the “hidden” symptoms and urged people to practice precaution. The most recent one, being pop star Pink, who, along with her son, were found to be COVID-19 positive last month.

Now in recovery, the singer has spoken at length about undergoing the “terrifying” ordeal as a family.
It was Pink’s son who first caught the virus, and subsequently, Pink fell victim to it as well. Talking about their own experience, the 40-year-old said that the symptoms for her went unnoticed and she reported feeling sick a few days after her son ran a fever.

Adding that she did not have the typical symptoms, Pink said that it was only when she suffered from respiratory troubles she started to suspect something was bad.

Pink interacted with her fans via a video call on a chat show hosted by popular celebrity, Ellen Degeneres. While she had easier access to testing facilities, Pink said that widespread testing was the only way to fight the pandemic. As is known, United States has become the hotspot for the disease spread after China and Italy.

Pink, who has also been battling asthma for the past 30 years, called coronavirus a far more “scary” experience.

“There’s no rhyme or reason to this…this is the scariest thing I’ve ever, ever been through in my whole life.”

“I got sick, maybe March 16. In hindsight, it all makes sense, but when it’s happening, it’s such a weird experience that you just don’t put together until after the fact or until days go by.”

Pink, who announced on Instagram just last week about being COVID-19 positive also made a sizeable donation to the medical community for all their work and support.

Now better, healing and positive, Pink said that she and her son are resting and waiting for the good news. She said:

“We’re doing all right. We’re doing OK this week…I don’t even know what day it is. This is a better week than the last, previous ones have been for our little household.”

Before Pink, it was celebrity couple Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Hayes, who, back in March, became one of the first popular faces to be tested positive for the novel virus. Quarantining in Australia, the couple shared their updates and symptoms on social media to raise awareness and spread a word of caution for other people.
