“We will resist the EC and make sure they are unable to suppress the will of the people. We will do unusual things to stop them,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Tuesday.

Leaders of the demonstration

The Inter-Party Resistance against New Voters Register held the second of series of demonstrations in the Ashanti region, Tuesday.

He accused the EC of being biased in favour of the ruling New Patriotic Party, noting that, the action and inaction of its Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah show she is in favour of the ruling party retaining power.

Mr Akamba, who sounded very furious, said the NDC is also poised to foil any diabolical agenda.

The NDC National Organiser could not fathom why a register used to elect President Nana Akufo-Addo is no more credible just four years in power.

“Is this not the same register which gave Akufo-Addo one million votes? Or is the EC saying he did not win the 2016 elections?” he quizzed.

Mr Akamba said the “NDC will resist the EC and government’s attempt to change the Voters Register with all our might through a series of demonstrations.”
