A fire outbreak has destroyed the family home of Ghanaian gospel musician and preacher Sonnie Badu, reducing the property to ashes while his parents were asleep inside.

Sharing the heartbreaking news, Sonnie Badu disclosed that the house, which held over 20 years of family memories, was completely gutted by the fire under circumstances that are still unknown.

According to him, he received the shocking news while preaching during a church service, after several missed calls from his father’s phone interrupted his sermon.

The gospel musician said he later stepped aside to return the call, only for his mother to inform him that their house had caught fire.

Despite the destruction, Sonnie Badu expressed gratitude that his parents survived the incident unharmed.

He also recounted having a vivid dream about a house on fire days before the incident, initially believing the warning was connected to his own home and children.

However, he later realised the house he saw in the dream was his parents’ residence.

The gospel musician has since pledged to rebuild the house within six months and appealed to architects and builders in Ghana to support the project.

Describing the incident as painful but miraculous, Sonnie Badu said he remains thankful for God’s protection over his parents’ lives during the fire outbreak.
