Defunct pro-ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group, Delta Force, says it has been dumped by party leaders.

According to the commander of the group, Francis Osei, some bigwigs during the 2016 general election campaign promised them juicy offers including jobs.

He noted that after working hard to ensure that the party comes to power and providing security for the party for so many years, the big promises made them are yet to be fulfilled.

“Before the 2016 elections, Assin Central Member of Parliament, Ken Agyapong and Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi as well the KMA boss, Osei Assibey promised us but they have failed us.

“I personally went to Chairman Wontumi to plead with him to do something about the promises he gave us but he claimed he had not gotten any job for us for three years now. We protected them throughout the elections but we feel they have dumped us. I don’t have any job, as well as the others, as I am speaking to you now, my wife is the one who takes care of me,” he cried on Accra based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

The Delta Force group was disbanded as a sign of respect to the call by President Nana Akufo-Addo for the two leading political parties – the ruling New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress – to disband all vigilante groups affiliated to the ruing regime.
