Security Analyst, Nicholas Okai has lauded the Akufo-Addo led administration for its efforts in strengthening security in the country.

In an interview on Adom FM’s morning show, “Dwaso Nsem” on Wednesday, Mr Okai opined that the security situation in Ghana has seen significant improvement under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo.

“Though some Security analysts last year warned that Ghana was at a tipping point of instability, forecasting an infiltration of ISIS terrorist network into the country by 2020, I believe the security situation as at now has improved,” he noted

He, however, acknowledged that many Ghanaians have witnessed and continue to witness some issues of insecurity since the NPP took over the affairs since 2017.

“Yes, there are instances where vigilante groups have caused mayhem in the country and all sorts of security risks but in all these, the government has been able to control the situation”, he said.

However, Mr Okai noted that collecting the needed intelligence by the police has seriously improved the running of their operations.

He therefore urged government to continue to resource the police to provide the needed security.
