Former Youth and Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, has described the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko as a brother and not a political foe.

Speaking on Joy News, Mr Vanderpuye who has been a regular panellist on Joy News’ AM Show with his colleague, Mr Agyarko noted irrespective of their political inclination, they shared fond memories together.

He said the late MP would even go to the extent of sharing secrets he (Agyarko) would not share with his family or people in his party.

“Trust me that regardless of our political views, he was a friend to me more than friends in NDC. Agyarko was a friend and a brother and not a political foe or enemy. Let me tell you, there are things that he would discuss with me that he wouldn’t discuss with members of his own party according to him.

“In fact, there are certain secrets he shared with me and I want to keep those secrets to myself or to the grave because he is gone,” he said.

Describing his friend as a passionate person, Mr Vanderpuye said the late MP is one person who is very conscious of his health and therefore could not fathom his sudden death.

Mr Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko was a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food and Drugs Authority and brother to former Minister of Energy, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko.
