Two people are in critical condition at Abirem Old Town in the Kwabre East Municipality after supporters of a losing candidate in the just ended district assembly elections attacked supporters of the winner.

Two others, who received stab wounds, have been treated and discharged.

The attack has brought commercial activities of the town to a halt as residents lock their shops for fear of being attacked.

Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah reported on Joy News that several property of the incoming assemblyman, Amos Owuo Agyemang including his vehicle have been destroyed.
