Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development, Mr. Abubakar Saddique Boniface, says his outfit will liaise with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to build multipurpose sports facilities across Zongo communities.
The action, according to him, will form part of the development module for Zongo communities and inner cities.

“Sports can positively impact the lives of the youth and also promote unity amongst them”.
It is the belief of Mr. Sadique that the presence of these facilities will help impact the lives of the youth in the various Zongo Communities and other Inner Cities.
“Many sports development programmes exist that are successful in touching the lives of young people before they go down the road of crime, however, for now, we are focusing on  football”, the Minister disclosed  in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.

The Ministry of Zongo and Inner Cities was established by President Akufo Addo to undertake some special programmes including; infrastructure and sanitation enhancement; economic empowerment, social development, cultural promotion and security and crime control.
