Residents of Kpandai in the Northern Region have been urged to set aside language, tribal and political differences and work together towards the development of their communities.

The call was made by the Parish Priest of St. Kizito Parish, Rev. Fr. Moses Nseaminya, during the launch of the St. Kizito Parish Feast, Partnership and Cultural Day Celebration.

The event is aimed at promoting peace, unity and social cohesion among the various ethnic groups in the district.

Speaking to Adom News affiliate reporter Prince Busula, Rev. Fr. Nseaminya stressed the need for residents to embrace cultural diversity as a catalyst for development rather than a source of division.

According to him, despite differences in language, ethnicity and political affiliation, residents share a common responsibility to contribute to the growth and progress of Kpandai.

“Though we speak different languages, belong to different tribes and hold different political views, we all have a shared responsibility to contribute to the development of Kpandai,” he said.

He urged community members to focus on their common aspirations and values, noting that meaningful development can only thrive in an environment of peace, cooperation and mutual respect.

“We must concentrate on what unites us rather than what divides us. Sustainable development thrives where there is peace, understanding and collaboration,” he added.

Rev. Fr. Nseaminya further emphasised the role of culture in strengthening social bonds and fostering unity among people from diverse backgrounds.

He noted that cultural differences should be viewed as a source of strength and an opportunity to build stronger communities.

“Our cultural diversity should bring us together, strengthen relationships and inspire collective efforts towards community development,” he stated.

The St. Kizito Parish Feast, Partnership and Cultural Day Celebration is expected to attract parishioners, traditional leaders, community members and visitors from across the country in a colourful showcase of faith, culture and unity.
