Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay, has expressed strong support for Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, during a private meeting held at his residence.
Mr. Blay praised the campaign team accompanying Chairman Wontumi, describing them as a “solid team,” and commended members for their efforts during the visit.
He also assured Chairman Wontumi of his full backing, describing his support as sincere and committed.
“My endorsement of Wontumi is sincere. I will support him every step of the way,” he said.
Touching on Wontumi’s ongoing legal challenges, the former chairman offered words of encouragement, praying for strength and resilience as he navigates the period.
“This is the time for Chairman Wontumi. This is his moment. He is the man of the moment,” he added.
The meeting also featured discussions on campaign strategy, with Blay advising on key regions that require intensified attention, including Greater Accra and the Eastern Region.
The engagement is seen as a notable show of support for Chairman Wontumi from a senior figure within the party, as he continues to manage both internal political activities and legal matters.
