The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced the successful disbursement of academic fee support to an additional 29,687 first-year students under President John Dramani Mahama’s No Fees Stress initiative for the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to the Fund, the latest disbursement brings the total number of beneficiaries to 101,905 students nationwide.

The SLTF disclosed that the beneficiaries were selected from 170,425 students who successfully validated their data out of 187,733 records received from 163 public tertiary institutions across the country.

In a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Students Loan Trust Fund, Dr Saajida Shiraz and dated May 21, 2026, the Fund said it has also modified the No Fees Stress portal to allow students who were previously unable to validate their records during the 2024/2025 application window to complete their applications, provided they did not receive prior support.

As part of measures to ensure no eligible student is left out, the SLTF extended the deadline for validation of student records to May 31, 2026.

The Fund encouraged all eligible first-year students to take advantage of the extension and complete their applications promptly.

It further indicated that the SLTF remains committed to completing all academic fee disbursements by the end of June 2026.

The Fund also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support towards the successful implementation of the initiative.
