NPP to hold balloting for presidential primary on October 10

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled a balloting exercise for its upcoming January 31, 2026, presidential primary.

The event will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.

In a letter signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, the party extended an invitation to all qualified presidential aspirants to participate in the exercise, which will determine their positions on the ballot paper.

The letter, dated October 7, 2025, also congratulated the aspirants on successfully completing the vetting process and urged them to confirm receipt of the invitation.

Those copied in the correspondence include the General Secretary, Acting National Chairman, and the Chairman of the Presidential Elections Committee.

The distribution list names five aspirants: Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Ken Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

The upcoming balloting marks another key step in the NPP’s preparations toward selecting its flagbearer for the 2026 general elections.
