Matchday 30 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League delivered a series of dramatic and surprising results across various stadiums nationwide.

At the TNA Park on Friday night, Medeama SC secured an emphatic 3-1 victory over Vision FC. The Yellow and Mauves wasted no time, taking the lead in just the second minute through Kingsley Braye. Vision FC responded swiftly, equalising in the 5th minute courtesy of Daniel Yemoh.

The teams went into halftime deadlocked at 1-1. However, Medeama regained control in the second half, with defender Kamaradini Mamudu restoring their lead in the 52nd minute before substitute Abdul Salam sealed the win with a late goal in the 85th.

Sunday’s headline fixture — the much-anticipated Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium — ended in a goalless draw, disappointing fans hoping for fireworks.

In Kpando, Heart of Lions continued their impressive form with a 2-1 triumph over reigning champions FC Samartex. Yaw Danso opened the scoring in the 19th minute, and Nana Oppong doubled the lead three minutes later. Samartex pulled one back in the 60th minute, but the hosts held on for the win.

At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem United deepened Legon Cities’ relegation woes with a narrow 1-0 victory. Darlvin Yeboah struck ten minutes from time to secure all three points for the Hunters.

In Dormaa, Aduana FC edged Berekum Chelsea 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park. Alex Boakye opened the scoring for Aduana in the 14th minute, but Stephen Amankona equalised just before halftime. Elvis Addo put Aduana back in front early in the second half, only for Amankona to level the score again with his second of the game. Godfred Opoku Wakii eventually netted the winner in the 71st minute.

At the Wenchi Sports Stadium, Young Apostles boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win over Basake Holy Stars. Joseph Quansah broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, and Emmanuel Fosu Kyei added the second five minutes later to seal a vital victory.

Nations FC climbed to the summit of the league with a hard-fought 1-0 win at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. Sadiq Alhassan’s 62nd-minute goal proved decisive.

In a shock result at DUN’s Park, struggling Karela United stunned Bibiani GoldStars with a 1-0 away win, thanks to Mohammed Asigre Sulemana’s 43rd-minute strike.

After Matchday 30, Nations FC, Heart of Lions, Bibiani GoldStars, and Asante Kotoko occupy the top four positions. Meanwhile, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, and Nsoatreman FC find themselves in the relegation zone as the battle for survival intensifies.
