Captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong has said their win against their bitterest rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA CUP final was not ordinary.
Asante Kotoko through Saddick Adams found the back of the net thrice against Hearts of Oak and this Amos Frimpong believes his side took their chances and disciplined their opponent.
“This win is not ordinary. Games between Kotoko and Hearts have always been difficult but we called off their bluff ahead of the game and gave it our all”, Amos said on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports show Monday.
“Before the game, I told my colleagues about the temperament of this kind of game and we worked as a unit to get this win”.
Asante Kotoko beat Hearts of oak 3-1 to cling the MTN FA CUP trophy and will represent Ghana next year in the Africa Confederations cup next season.
