Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, has honoured the National Chief Imam, Sheik (Dr) Osmanu Nuhu  Shaributu, as the Chief Patron of Sanitation and Water. 

The Minister presented Dr Osmanu Shaributu with a plaque and a citation as a mark of honour and distinction when she paid courtesy call on the  National Chief Imam.

The sector Minister expressed her gratitude to the National Chief Imam for accepting  to be  the Chief Patron for the Sanitation and Water sub-sectors.


She said the nation appreciates his role and it was only proper  to bestow such honour on him and thanked the  Chief Imam for  the warm and cordial reception accorded  her and her Staff  as they prayed for  God’s blessings  and guidance  upon his life.

Receiving  the plaque,  the National Chief Imam,  was grateful  for the kind gesture and prayed  for God’s  protection,  guidance  and blessings  on the life of the Minister and her entire  Staff.

He also commended the harmony  and peaceful  co-existence  among  the various  Religious Faiths in Ghana amidst Peace of the World. 

The Sector  Minister  was accompanied  by Mr  Noah Tumfo, Mr  Obeng  Poku and  other  Senior  Staff  of the Ministry.
