Diminutive Ghanaian comedian, Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo known in the entertainment industry as Dabo has revealed that he would love to marry a lady from a wealthy background.
According to him, that will help relieve him of the financial stress that emanates from poverty.
He made this revelation in an interview with Captain Smart on the special Independence Day edition of Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM on the 6th march 2017 as part of Ghana’s 60th anniversary.
The Kumawood actor who is yet to marry said he would prefer to marry someone who has the financial muscle to cater for the family in his absence.
He recounted an incident that happened to a friend of his to buttress his point.
The “Megye Wo Girl” actor narrated that the friend was called by his wife from the house while they were on location shooting a movie at the wee hours of the day around 2 am, that his child was not feeling well and the woman also did not have money to take the child to hospital so the friend had to abandon the job and go home to take the child to hospital.
“Had my friend married a rich lady or someone from a rich background, he would not have gone through all these stress,” he said.
Dabo went further to explain that he is willing to be with an abusive rich lady than to marry a poor one.
He however said that he likes light skinned girls as compared to dark ladies.
“Even Nadia Buari is dark skinned as compared to the type of lady I want,” he emphasized.
