A consular officer at the United States of America Embassy in Ghana, Doreen Maroney has explained how easy and flexible the process and requirement for participating and standing a chance of winning a US Diversity Visa Lottery could be for anyone.

To the Consular, the processes are simple but it takes just a slight mistake for a person to miss a chance of winning the visa lottery.

“The US DV Lottery is to increase the diversity of immigrants around the world by ensuring your DV entry is accurate as possible because honesty is key when it comes to our processes,” she revealed.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Tuesday, the Consular, together with the Press Attaché, Naomi Mattos explained that the annual programme is available to all people globally.

“There is a lot of misinformation floating about the US visa process and I don’t know where they get their information from but I think it is not from the right source but the best place to get the most accurate information is the US Embassy website of the visa section,” she said.

The Consular urged interested applicants to register on their own.

“Most people disqualify themselves even before the processes begin because they may repeat photographs from a previous registration and if someone registers for you, insist on your confirmation number which is free but a ‘Goro Boy’ may ask for a fee before giving it out which is not right.
