The suspects

The Tema Regional Police Command has busted two suspects who allegedly raped and robbed victims within the Ada Foah area of the Greater Accra region.

The suspects, Dakeh Winfred Mohammed, 24, and his accomplice, Petiafor Abraham, 19, an undertaker apprentice, are said to lure unsuspecting young ladies, mostly Nigerians.

They then sexually abused, robbed and abandoned them at the Colonial Prison Quarters building at Ada Foah.

Investigations revealed that on Wednesday, August 28, unemployed Mohammed Dakeh, lured a 21-year-old Nigerian to the abandoned building and together with his accomplice, gang-raped her and forcefully took her purse containing an amount of GH¢400.00 and an Infinix Mobile Phone.

Further investigations also revealed that on Friday, August 30, the same suspects lured another Nigerian lady to the same location, gang-raped and robbed her of her Huawei mobile phone and an amount of GH¢100.00.

On Saturday, September 5, Mohammed Dakeh and Petiafor Abraham again arranged and met another Nigerian lady, gang-raped her, robbed her of her belongings and abandoned her to her fate.

The next day, they again invited another Nigerian from Ashaiman, in an attempt to perpetrate their heinous crime once again.

Luck, however, eluded them when the lady who was invited happened to be a sister to one of their victims.

She consequently informed her sister, who in turn alerted police.

Police went in to arrest Mohammed while Abraham managed to escape.

Mohammed, however, later led police to the hideout of Abraham to be arrested.

The Tema Regional Police Command has given indication that an identification parade will be conducted at the Ada Divisional Command on Friday, September 13 especially for ladies who have fallen victims to such circumstances.
