Gospel musician, Anita Afriyie is unfazed with criticisms after performing at ‘Adonko Bash’; a show to promote Adonko bitters on Easter Monday at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

According to her, she would even perform for popular fetish priest, Kwaku Bonsam if he invites her for an event.

Several gospel musician have criticized Anita Afriyie for joining circular musicians at the Adonko bash.

Many including Ernest Opoku have questioned her calling describing her as a hypocrite.

In his opinion, Anita Afriyie’s conduct has brought the name of the industry into disrepute for promoting alcohol consumption especially to the youth.

But the outspoken gospel musician on Adom FM’s entertainment review show, Adom Entertainment Hall said such assertions is borne out of ignorance.

She explained that, gospel songs are supposed to reform people thus the Adonko bash was an appropriate platform to win souls for Christ.

The “Adehye Mogya” hitmaker stated that she even did not collect a dime from the organizers of the event because “I saw it as an opportunity to do the work of God”.

“I don’t understand why my own people are criticizing me when I’m doing the work of God. I even did the show for free to win souls for Christ.

Anita Afriyie is convinced the attacks on her is part of a grand scheme to tarnish hard won reputation.
