Ghana has recorded a new casualty of Covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 18 from the previous 17.

This was announced by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on its website.

The GHS said in its update on Saturday, May 2, 2020 that 229 persons have since recovered within the country. The previous figure was 212. This means 17 more people have recovered.

The GHS also said the total case count is now 2,169 cases. This means 95 new confirmations have been recorded.

The Greater Accra Region still leads with 1, 852 cases.
