President of the Songwriters Association of Ghana and entertainment pundit, Emmanuel Barnes, popularly known as Mr Logic, has said Ghanaians take security for granted when it comes to entertainment shows.
Mr logic made the observation when he was discussing the recent Stonebwoy/Shatta Wale scuffle at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards over the weekend.
He has advised event organisers to consider putting up signs to forewarn people who make it to events such as the VGMA to alert them about the need to be alert about their personal security.

“We have underrated the music industry. When we put up shows we think everything will go well. We have to start expecting the unexpected. Music is just like politics so anything is possible. Was there any sign of ‘no weapons allowed’? All these precautions weren’t taken,” he noted.
Mr Logic also contends that the blame of what transpired at the VGMA shouldn’t be placed solely at the doorsteps of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy but also the security officials who were in charge of the event in the auditorium.
He has also asked Ghanaians to stop pushing the agenda of prosecuting the two artistes after their arrests and eventual bail.

“The push for them to be prosecuted is getting out of hand,” Mr Logic said.
He explained that even though it was somehow wrong for Stonebwoy to show his gun on stage, “sometimes you can show your gun” when you sense danger without shooting or aiming at your offender.
