President Nana Akufo-Addo has rewarded the Black Stars B with a cash prize of $100,000 for winning the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

His Excellency announced the reward package when the team, led by Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi, paid a special visit to the Flagstaff House in Accra on Tuesday afternoon.

Ghana thumped rivals Nigeria in the final 4-1 to lift the trophy last Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium.

A brace from Stephen Sarfo, a penalty from Vincent Atingah and an injury time strike from Winnful Cobbinah saw the Black Stars B defend their 2013 title.

The 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations had all 16-member countries of the sub-regional football governing body participate.
