Nigerian music artiste, Timaya has finally revived the lyrical war between dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and the Nigerian music personalities.
Earlier, the ‘Ayoo’ hit maker sparked a lot of controversy between the two countries when he opined that he doesn’t see Nigerian artiste, Wizkid as a superstar.
He further stressed that Nigerian has no ‘original’ dancehall artistes hence Timaya should return to selling plantain chips and leave the Dancehall genre in peace.
“…Tell Timaya to come to Ghana and see what Dancehall is and stop that nonsense you people call dancehall. It’s a shame you have an artiste like Timaya. He should have still sold his plantain chips. Mumu…” he tweeted.
Interestingly, Timaya in a reaction to this said he doesn’t know any Shatta Wale, wondering whether he is a plumber, singer or a shoemaker…”
In spite of this, Timaya urged his fans to shun asking him to record a diss song for Shata Wale since he doesn’t know who he is.
“People said I should do a diss track for Shatta Wale. I don’t know him, until I just heard his name on the internet. Who is that guy? Does he sing? Is he a shoemaker or a plumber? Please I don’t know him; I don’t know that guy…” he maintained on social media.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has again reacted to Timaya’s claim querying is he is a plumber or shoemaker in a new song dubbed: “Timaya”.
In the song, the he describes Timaya’s musical career as lame stressing that he should quit music and start working at the ‘chop bar’ because that is what fits him.
