An Accra circuit court has granted bail to Braimah Kamako popularly known as Bukom Banku in the sum of GH¢30,000 for causing harm and unlawful damage.

Bukom Banku’s lawyer, Nii Quaye Myres who reported sick said the accused Bukom is also indisposed and produced documents to that effect.

He told the court that he informed the investigator in the case about their inability to attend court on the previous court dates.

The court granted the boxer bail with two sureties.

The court also, in addition, asked the investigator to take passport size picture of the accused as well as photocopies of the sureties’ Identity cards.

The accused pleaded not guilty to assault, causing harm to two persons and causing unlawful damage.

Bukom Banku is to reappear in court on June 21, 2018.

The other accused were not in court as well as the complainant.

  1. Interesting story, seeing it concerns a notable figure like Bukom banku. This might serve as a precedent to remind other would-be idols in future, to be respectful of the rule of law, and to be aware of their responsibility as role models.
    The only problem is we still don’t know much about this story, just that he’s been granted bail for causing harm and bodily damage. What led to that, and what sort of harm was caused?

    I guess we’ll have to conjecture the incident.
