The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has released three cheques amounting to GH¢199,471,691 to clear outstanding payments for perishable supplies.

The funds are intended to settle arrears owed to suppliers under the Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme for the October to February period, as well as payments due to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions covering October to December.

The disbursement highlights the government’s continued commitment to meeting its obligations to service providers supporting feeding and logistics in both FSHS and TVET institutions across the country.

The payments are expected to ease the financial burden on suppliers and ensure a steady supply of essential perishable items to students.

GETFund says it remains focused on making timely payments and working closely with stakeholders to improve the delivery of educational services nationwide.
