Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly women in the Afram Plains North Constituency, thronged the residence of former Member of Parliament Betty Krosbi Mensah, urging her to return and contest again.

The former two-term MP, who lost her seat in the 2024 general elections to an independent candidate, received a rousing welcome upon her arrival in the constituency.

She was in the area to tour the constituency and participate in national recreation and wellness activities when enthusiastic party supporters—especially women and youth—gathered in large numbers to meet her.

Some supporters crowded around her vehicle, passionately appealing to her to reconsider her political future and return to represent the constituency on the NDC ticket.

The women praised her past leadership, highlighting her efforts in addressing key challenges in the area, particularly issues affecting women.

Others expressed concern that despite the NDC being in government, they feel neglected, likening their situation to being in opposition.

They appealed to the former MP not to abandon them, but to continue advocating for development and ensure the constituency benefits from being part of the ruling party.
