The Ministry of the Interior has announced new curfew hours for several communities in the Gushegu District following advice from the National Security Council.

In a notice shared by the Ministry, the revised curfew takes effect from Monday, April 20, 2026, and will run from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am each day.

The directive covers several communities, including Paboni, Yidaani, Kukpok, Busun No. 1 and No. 2, Nagnani, Nayagile, Donbin, Kolik, Tinyongu, and Klokpan.

Authorities say the move is part of ongoing efforts to manage tensions in the area and maintain public safety.

Residents, traditional leaders, and youth groups have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies while steps are taken to restore lasting peace.

The Ministry also called on all parties to resolve their differences through dialogue rather than violence.

Alongside the curfew, a total ban has been placed on the possession, carrying, or use of arms, ammunition, and other offensive weapons within the affected communities.

Government says these measures are necessary to prevent further escalation and ensure stability in the district.
