A newly established health facility, Titus Medical Centre, has organized a free medical screening exercise for women in Kumdi in the Kpandai District as part of activities to mark this year’s Mothers’ Day celebration.
Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the Chief Executive Officer of the medical centre, Steve-Lee Demuyakor, said the initiative is aimed at supporting women in the farming community who struggle to access quality healthcare due to financial challenges.
According to him, Kumdi is one of the deprived communities in the Kpandai District in the Northern Region, where many residents, especially women, are unable to afford proper medical care.

He explained that the medical outreach seeks to screen about 300 women for various health conditions and also provide them with free medication to support their well-being.
Mr. Demuyakor noted that the exercise forms part of the medical centre’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and giving back to society.
Residents of the community who benefited from the exercise expressed appreciation to the management of Titus Medical Centre for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention and a positive step towards improving healthcare in the area.
They also praised the CEO and staff of the facility for remembering the needs of women in the community during the Mothers’ Day celebration.
