The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of an additional suspect linked to the murder of a police officer at Zebilla in the Upper East Region.
In a statement updating the public on the investigation, police said Abdul Aziz Iddrisu, also known as Baaluuse, was apprehended on February 17 during a coordinated intelligence-led operation.
The suspect was tracked down and arrested at a hideout in Polego, a suburb of Bolgatanga, following what authorities described as targeted operational work.
During the arrest, officers recovered three mobile phones believed to be relevant to the case. Police said the devices are undergoing analysis as investigators work to piece together events surrounding the attack.
Investigators also noted that the suspect has been linked to videos circulating online in which he is seen displaying weapons suspected to be connected to criminal activity in the area.
According to the Police, a separate operation is now underway to trace and recover the weapons, while efforts continue to apprehend other individuals believed to be involved.

The suspect remains in police custody and is assisting investigators as enquiries continue. Authorities have assured the public that additional information will be released as the case progresses.
