Former member of Parliament for Tema East, Titus Clover, has called for the intervention of the National Security Secretariat in the ongoing controversy surrounding alleged vehicle purchases by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA).
The issue stems from claims by Old Tafo Member of Parliament (MP) Vincent Ekow Assafuah that the Authority spent significant public funds on the procurement of multiple luxury vehicles, including Toyota Land Cruisers. However, the NPRA has denied the allegations, insisting that the claims are false and misleading.
Speaking on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, Titus Clover said the conflicting narratives have created uncertainty, making it difficult for the public to determine the truth.
According to him, if the situation remains unresolved, it is necessary for National Security to step in and conduct an independent investigation.
He stressed that issues involving public funds and state institutions must be handled with transparency and accountability.
Titus Clover added that establishing the truth is crucial to maintaining public trust in governance and ensuring that any wrongdoing, if proven, is addressed.
“If the truth is not coming, then National Security must step in and let Ghanaians know what is really happening,” he added
