Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign over what he describes as the government’s persistent failure to curb the rising insecurity across the country.

In a post on Instagram, Falz reposted a 2014 tweet in which Tinubu — then an opposition figure — urged former President Goodluck Jonathan to step down over terrorism-related issues.

According to the rapper, the same standard Tinubu set for others now applies to him.

“You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. Resign now!” Falz wrote, accusing the President of failing in his primary duty to safeguard Nigerians.

His comments come at a time when kidnappings, terrorist attacks and jihadist violence continue to affect several regions, leaving many dead and forcing families from their homes.

The worsening situation has also attracted global attention, with Nigeria’s security crisis featuring prominently in discussions at the recent UN meeting.

Falz’s remarks add to growing public anger as citizens call for stronger leadership, accountability, and urgent action to restore security and stability.
