The Member of Parliament for the Shama Constituency and Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Hon. Emelia Arthur, has donated a brand-new Changan Hunter pick-up vehicle to the Shama Fire Station to strengthen its operational capacity.
The official handover took place during her working visit to the station, where she was accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Otis Dentu.
The new vehicle, procured by the government, is expected to enhance fire prevention efforts and improve response to road traffic accidents within the constituency.
The District Fire Officer, DOII Emmanuel Bonney, received the vehicle on behalf of the Ghana National Fire Service.
Addressing personnel, Hon. Emelia Arthur commended the firefighters for their dedication and urged them to continue serving the people of Shama with professionalism and integrity.
In response, DOII Bonney expressed appreciation to the MP for her continuous support, assuring her of the station’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the community.
