Star Oil Ltd. has commenced an internal investigation into a fatal accident involving one of its Bulk Road Vehicles near Asukawkaw in the Oti Region on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
The crash claimed four lives and left 14 others injured.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, ramming into a busy market.
In a statement, Star Oil pledged to work closely with the police to determine the cause of the accident and ensure accountability.
“The company has initiated its internal investigative processes and will collaborate fully with the police to determine the cause of the accident,” the statement said.
The company also confirmed it is working with emergency services and local authorities to assist affected families and the injured, extending condolences to the bereaved and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
