Kumawood actor LilWin was involved in a roadside altercation on the Sunyani highway after a truck driver’s reckless manoeuvre nearly caused an accident.
The incident occurred while the actor and his entourage were travelling for the premiere of his latest movie, which focuses on the life of Ivorian footballer Ibrahim Touré, the late brother of Yaya and Kolo Touré.
According to LilWin’s account, the heavy-duty truck overtook his convoy at high speed, allegedly forcing their vehicle towards the edge of the road. Despite repeated signals to stop, the driver reportedly ignored them and continued driving.
The tense situation escalated when the actor’s team caught up with the truck at a police patrol checkpoint along the route. They immediately lodged a complaint with officers, leading to a confrontation between the parties.
Passersby gathered as the exchange grew heated, but police intervened to prevent the situation from spiralling further.
No injuries or vehicle damage were reported, but the incident left LilWin visibly frustrated over what he described to close associates as “dangerous and unnecessary driving” that could have ended in tragedy.
