AIB Ghana mourns victims of tragic helicopter crash

The Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB Ghana) has extended its deepest condolences to the families of the eight individuals who lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, at Adansi Brofoyedru in the Ashanti Region.

In an official statement signed by Acting Commissioner John M. K. Wumborti, AIB Ghana described the accident as a profound national tragedy that has shaken the foundations of the country’s institutions.

The victims included top government officials, military personnel, and senior public servants.

“These were men of service, courage, and integrity, dedicated to the peace, safety, and development of our beloved country,” the statement read.

While acknowledging the deep grief this tragedy has caused, AIB Ghana expressed solidarity with all affected families and assured Ghanaians that the legacy of the departed will continue to inspire national unity and patriotism.
