Actress and entrepreneur Fella Precious Makafui is pushing back hard against attempts to define her identity through her past relationship with rapper Medikal, making it clear she is not here for the labels.
The actress found herself at the centre of online chatter after a netizen shared a clip from Kwesi Arthur’s listening session, capturing a light, friendly moment between the two.
The post, however, came with a caption that didn’t sit well with her: “Kwesi Arthur seen exchanging friendly kisses with Medikal’s ex at Redemption Valley Block Party.”
What may have been intended as harmless commentary quickly escalated.
Clearly unimpressed, Fella did not hold back in her response, calling out the netizen for reducing her identity to a past relationship.
“Lmao Medikal’s ex? Bro, put some respect on my name! I’m Fella Precious Makafui! You don’t wanna start this with me bro,” she fired.
Her reaction has since sparked conversations online about how female public figures are often defined by their relationships, even long after they’ve moved on.
Fella and Medikal were one of Ghana’s most talked-about celebrity couples, with their relationship spanning from 2020 to 2024. The two share a daughter, and their union, from its glamorous beginnings to its eventual split, played out largely in the public eye.
Since their separation, both have moved on. Medikal is now linked to fellow musician Eazzy, with whom he shares a son.
