National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has shared some of the most enduring life lessons he received from his late mother ahead of this year’s Mother’s Day celebration.

In an emotional reflection, Mr. Asiedu Nketia remembered his mother, Hagar Akosua Afrah, affectionately called “Kwaa,” who passed away on May 2, 2014.

According to him, although many of life’s most important lessons are learned long before their full meaning is understood, the values instilled in him by his mother have remained a guiding force throughout his life.

He said she taught him the importance of placing God at the centre of everything, persevering through challenges without giving up, respecting all people regardless of their background or status, and always doing what is right even when no one is watching.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia noted that the quiet guidance and teachings of his late mother continue to shape his personal life and leadership journey years after her passing.

Expressing gratitude and admiration, he paid tribute to her memory, describing her influence as invaluable and enduring.
