Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer, Harry Zakour, has encouraged the club to aim for a top-four finish in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians have faced challenges throughout the campaign and currently sit 6th on the league table with 46 points, with just four matches remaining.
Despite their inconsistent form, Zakour, who guided the club to historic CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup triumphs, believes Hearts of Oak still have a chance to end the season on a high note.
“Last season, the club underperformed and finished in an unpleasant position. However, this year, the team has shown significant improvement,” he told Kessben FM.
“With only a few matches remaining, they are in a much better position. Considering their current standing, they should aim to finish third or fourth in the league.”
Zakour emphasised the need for the team to remain focused and consistent in the final stretch.
“It’s crucial for them to maintain their focus and continue pushing forward to secure a strong finish,” he added.
Hearts of Oak will face Berekum Chelsea in a crucial Matchday 31 fixture on Sunday at the Golden City Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
