Singer Wiyaala has thrown her weight behind the campaign to push local rice in the Ghanaian market.

This comes after some local rice farmers in the Northern Region of Ghana complained of their produce going waste for non-patronage.

According to the farmers, the influx of foreign rice into the Ghanaian market was to blame for the phenomenon as rice produced locally continues to play second-fiddle on the market.
