With six matches to end the season, WAFA sit top of the Ghana Premier League table but head coach Klavs Rasmussen is still not thinking about the possibility of winning the title for the first time in their history.
WAFA returned to the summit on Wednesday following victory over Asante Kotoko. The Academy boys produced a thrilling performance to see off Kotoko 2-0 in Sogakope.

However, Rasmussen remains coy on the current points gap, believing WAFA should not change their approach from aiming for survival to focus on the title battle.
“You talk about winning the league, I talk about getting 50 points and that is enough for staying in the league. We don’t have 50 points yet , we have to get the points and then we can talk about winning” He told Joy FM.
“The issue for us is to stay in the league and build up players to go abroad, that is our purpose”.
