Afia Pokua’s (Vim Lady) Vim Foundation is set to construct a new classroom block for pupils of Adansi Kyrermebebi in the Ashanti region.
The project follows the discovery of the deplorable state of their classrooms which came up during a visit to the school by members of the Vim Foundation.
In an interview, the headmaster of the school, Samuel Ayitey said the school, which was established in 2011, has since not witnessed any major renovation and now poses as a death trap to pupils and teachers in the school.
“We were motivated to build this school which is the first in Kyeremebebi because children interested in education had to cross a river in the town to the next village to attend school. We are very grateful to Vim Foundation for your intervention,” he said.
Meanwhile, work has commenced on the site for the construction of a Junior High School Block for the school.
