The Ghana Police Service has strongly denied allegations of paper leakage and bribery in a recent police promotion examination.
In a statement issued by the Service, the Police described a publication by The Herald as false and without merit.
According to the statement, the promotion examination was conducted by University of Cape Coast, an institution the Police Service said has a strong reputation and a proven track record in administering credible examinations.
The Service stressed that the allegations are baseless and urged the public to disregard them.
“The Police Service takes serious exception to these allegations and urges the public to disregard them,” the statement said.
The statement comes amid public discussions surrounding the conduct and integrity of promotion examinations within the Service.
